A living-spell incremental game about a simple spell becoming conscious.

About the game
Arcane Overclock begins with a single point of light. You touch it, it gives you Mana, and Mana buys the astral upgrades that make the spell grow. Then the spell starts doing things you didn't ask for.
The game's heart is Rewrite: a frequent soft reset that collapses the current run into Essence and immediately starts the next one. Essence buys permanent, endlessly stackable ranks in an eight-star Galaxy. New systems — Arcane Echo, Consciousness, Confluence, Projection — come only from milestones, so every unlock is earned once and kept forever.
Phase 1 ends when the spell's outward signal is finally answered. What answers, and what Phase 2 becomes, is the question the game is built around. The spell itself is rendered live with PixiJS and reacts to everything you do.
What you actually do
- 01
A spell you can see
Not a progress bar: a rendered, breathing spell that changes shape as its systems awaken.
- 02
Rewrite, not restart
Soft resets happen often and start the next run instantly. Mastered systems, Essence and automation all survive.
- 03
Essence Galaxy
Eight permanent bonuses with no rank cap. Astral Memory, Stellar Legacy, Veil Rhythm, Signal Focus and more.
- 04
Consciousness and Dreams
Thoughts turn passive Mana into automation. By Dream 5 the spell is buying its own upgrades.
- 05
Confluence bindings
Charges form every ten minutes, online or offline. Bind a form successfully and the spell keeps an Imprint of it.
- 06
Ten-minute check-ins
Balanced against a deterministic benchmark so each Rewrite comes faster than the last.
